La Vida Real
Located in Rancho San Diego, La Vida Real is an 11-acre senior’s housing campus combining independent and assisted living apartments totaling 320 units. The facility is also designed to specifically meet the needs of Memory Care patients in a separate but integrated environment.
Multiple courtyards create a series of intimate garden spaces with each garden having its own unique theme and personality. Along with pool/spa facilities and lawn sport areas, other individual spaces included a ‘secret garden/reader’s retreat’ designed to attract birds and butterflies, a community vegetable & herb garden for residents, a California coastal texture garden, and an early California mission garden. Also included is a walking garden and sensory garden designed to assist staff in programming the therapeutic exercise objective for the Assisted Living and Skilled Care components.
